New York Fashion Week S/S 2010 III: Marc Jacobs

Romance with dramatic parts (shorts and blouse with ruffles and flounces all over, big flower headbands) and Japanese/Asian elements (white faces, little topknots) mixed up with puristic cuts (the short coats and the slim blouses), symmetric patterns and cut outs and easy jersey fabrics – so far,  the most distinct collection for me.

Sweet but not only sweet, romance with edges – a little paradoxical? – yes! That’s what makes it interesting and appealing.

And I love the gentle colours and patterns! And the long socks combined with knee length pants, and the flat sandals…
